OpenAI ends model access for SpaceX-owned Cursor
OpenAI said it will stop providing models to Cursor, with a proposed shutoff of Nov 12, 2026, citing confidence issues after SpaceX’s acquisition and past contract breaches by Musk companies. Anthropic said it will increase compute for Claude inside Cursor. Cursor’s Michael Truell said OpenAI models are about 5% of traffic and talks are ongoing.

Sony and Warner Chappell sue Anthropic over Claude training
Sony Music Publishing and Warner Chappell filed in N.D. Cal. alleging torrenting, scraping, and lyric use to train Claude, seeking up to $150k per work plus CMI damages. Co-founders Dario Amodei and Benjamin Mann are named as defendants. Anthropic did not immediately comment.

US Commerce drafts rule on remote AI chip access
Commerce is preparing a draft (industry consult expected as early as September) aimed at blocking Chinese AI firms from renting advanced Nvidia GPUs via Southeast Asian cloud. Export-control lawyers say BIS likely lacks clear statutory authority without Congress passing the Remote Access Security Act.

OpenAI切断SpaceX旗下Cursor的模型接入
OpenAI宣布计划停止向Cursor提供模型，拟停用日为2026年11月12日，理由是SpaceX收购后无法确信对方会遵守服务条款，并提到马斯克系公司过往违约。Anthropic随后表示会加大Claude在Cursor里的算力支持。Cursor联合创始人Truell称OpenAI模型约占流量5%，双方还在谈。
索尼、华纳再度起诉Anthropic
索尼音乐出版与华纳Chappell在加州北区起诉，指控用盗版与歌词数据训练Claude，要求最高每件作品15万美元法定赔偿，并点名联合创始人Amodei与Mann。Anthropic暂未回应置评。对做内容/模型的人来说，训练数据溯源又被推到台前。
